Close call!!
I was riding yesterday afternoon with 3 other biker and I'm the newbie with a month of riding experience who is still learning how to ride in a curve. Anyway, I believe I was on HWY 22 toward Maurepas in Louisiana and learning on how to take the curve right. Curve after curve I got so comfy and confident untill I took this one sharp curve and I was on proly 60, I couldnt take the whole curve and in the mid of the curve I just have to hit the brake(which was stupid enuff for me to do it but there was no other way) and tried to get my bike straight and not to let it loose and dropped it. I was holding the steering so tight that the reason my bike revving uncontrollably was because the bike shook so badly. The bike almost went loose while I kept holding the brake and it revved on the 3rd gear with my foot draging from the aspalt to the gravel try to keep the balance. I went to the side of the road on gravel and almost went over the cliff to someone house. Damn, I almost had a heart attack..and the lady in the car behind me just looking at me like damn u lucky bastard.
Anyway, I'm ait now and my baby is okay too :P
My friends told me that was the same curve that their friend got in the accident and went over the cliff...

I like riding in a group when it is just a cruise in town but when we drive like I did yesterday, I was learning on how to take a curve and 3 of my friends were a good distance ahead of me but they were keeping an eye on mee too. I was the last one.
I was lucky that I could keep my bike straigh and up. AND I ALWAYS open for any advice..please anyone....

Glad you're okay. If you need advice on getting the crease out of your bike's seat, let us know.

Seriously: Ride your ride at your pace and slow the F down if you haven't done the road before. Too comfy and letting your mind go to sleep will get you killed!

Someone told me this when I first started riding, " No matter how fast your going ALWAYS KEEP looking thru the turn! If your not scrapping the peg you can still go lower"! Some might disagree w/ the next statement but to each their own. You can back off the throttle a little but not completely to slow you down some but don't lay into the brakes. Look at where you want to go, not at where you don't want to go. I don't know the riding techniques some of you use but I have always found that to be usefull especialy on roads I've never been on before. After a while in the seat you'll learn how to brake while leaned over, holding your line, your balance, and keep the front from tucking while adjusting you line in the turn.
It takes miles and time so don't be discouraged if you crash! No one hops on a bike and are born GP racers!!!!!!
