welcome back mate...i for one love the diversity and the crazy dysfunctional family that we are....we got smart asses, passive people, active people, sweet people, jackass, and people you want to reach through the monitor and choke....

but here's the thing (to me at least)....the internet is just like real life....there are people i DESPISE that i see everyday....but if i let them get to me, it ruins my day....so i just let it be...now...if they step on me...different story...but you have to have a high threshold so that everyday isn't spent being all bugger'd up....(like that one )....

there is too much GOOD stuff on this board...it would take a huge $hitstorm to make me back off this forum.....

that being said....welcome back mate! long live the welcome grand master!! [8D]
Thanks Fingers
Yep...I understand what you say ...
But can I just add one more thing to what you said ..
In the real world we do let allot go from peeps that get up our nose ..
but...
The question I ask you is , what would you do in the real world if anyone hung **** on you in a packed room with 20 of your mates watching listening as well ???
Would you take the embarrassment , or react ??
Me ....I know for sure I would not

Forums like this may have 20 - 100 peeps(including visitors) reading any one page at any time ...that's why its called a public forum..

That's why letting **** slide can be hard for me .. ......... but I am trying
no i understand your situation....but there at least in one sense, is the difference between the internetz and real life....and please NO ONE take this personally...but in here, the 20-100 yahoos looking....only a handful of them you should care about how they take it.....but to take that one step further, those of whom you should care about know you enough not to let it reflect poorly on you...

in real life, it's much harder to have 20 mates around you and deal with insults and ridicule...there, something might be said....but even then...those that speak softly often speak the loudest....i subscribe to the adage that in not stooping to those levels, i come out on top...but again you can only be pushed to far....

i guess what i am trying to say is that there has to be a threshold for both real life and the interwebs....here the threshold has to be much higher because there is a smaller subset of people that would care and those people are often smart enough to look beyond what the internet is...in real the threshold should be lower, but even then, fighting a juvenile fight only makes yourself look juvenile....

you're a smart guy and opinionated guy, i don't think anyone will disagree there....and that's a great thing...but you can't let bravado get in the way of sane thinking...that is how people end up situations they later regret (see this situation)....

everyone here that is close and is a true "member" of this board knows what to take from skirmishes and the like, it's okay to have them, we all enjoy them...just don't let them swallow you...it's generally not worth it...take care bud...

I have been butthurt. I was annoyed when some people got mad at the Admin/Mod joke, and said I was taking a few days off and to reach me via email. I came back like the next day or a day and a half later. Mygood friend Kewl always reminds me not to take things in such a personal manner .

I regard to PMing Mods (middle management), that is EXACTLY why we are here. We are here to help the Admins (big bosses). Fortunately they do not micro-manage us. If you ever feel it is not the right thing to do to PM us, you are wrong. It is not girley or lame to ask us to help, especially when it comes to another member. If it is me, I may chose to be more candid the better I know you, but we are all here to treat you fair and make the best decision or choice based on the betterment of this forum...and that inclused thewelfare of the memberPMing. Cool?

Voodoo is correct ... all the staffers are here to help out. Often when you are in a war of words it helps to have a neutral ear to see if maybe you are being an asshat None of our mods go running to another member telling that someone is a girl for crying to the staff. If something is really out of hand I will PM the offending parties only with the info that a member has brought it up to me. Usually they completely ignore that perhaps they were behaving badly and want to know 'WHO'. Then the guessing starts ... you would be surprised to know that as a whole the membership here sux at guessing. After a few more PMs it sinks in that it does not matter who ... we are a dysfunctional forum family and the forum only works when we all pitch in.

And the word 'butthurt' is gonna end up in someones tag ... I just know it
