Nice choice in bikes Hang. The anniversary edition R1 is freakin sweet, and I honestly don't care for the Repsol orange (personally),
but that's just paint anyways. You could probably sell those fairings and make a bundle. What kills it for me on the R1 is the undertail exhaust;
it's butt ugly, imo. I vote for the Honda 1000RR.
Either way ~ you win.

Nothing Beats a Repsol...

Nothing.

My next bike WILL be a 2009 Repsol

if you find a good deal on a repsol that is the way to go. how can you say a repsol bike isnt as good looking as the R1?! more people drool over a repsol than a yellow yammie

Now now, we're not here to bash other makes ... are we??

I think the Yamaha R1 is a fine bike but Hondas are better finished in general ...
either bike would be the ride of your life and it is down to personal preference in my opinion ...
I do simply prefer the CBR though, not keen on the Yamaha's exhaust or it's front compared
with the CBR's more aggressive stance ... it is nice to have choices though :-)

Jules

EDIT: one more thing I have noticed ... repsols always look a lot better in the flesh
than most photos of them :-)
