I'm hoping it was sarcasm or trolling... but for the benefit of the doubt, maybe some tires don't mind that as much as others?

What tires are you running Cman9toes?

Sorry, I should have used more smilies to implie my sarcasism. Did not mean to ruffle feathers. I was just mocking the idea of not having chicken strips.

My bike has them because there is no way in the world I would even try to ride that hard around town and I don't get to go to the track.

Oh and on a side note bike tires are fairly stiff even with zero air. I had the misfortune of picking up several nails unknowingly and lost air at a slow rate that I did not notice at first. About 2 miles from work is when I noticed the loss and limped into work (fearing the tire might come off the rim). 1000 miles and two plugs and the tire is fine.

Ah man, I just let all the air out of my tires too. So you weren't being serious? That's totally bogus...

My coworkers were impressed by the lack of them and the fact I made to work on the flat.

It handled really well too. Gripped the road like a 300 conversion.

wow , that reminds me of how exited i was to get my 900RR running after buying it not running, i jumped on it and clicked the gears up the road and almost dumped it on the first corner. yes -----8 lbs of air . i felt stupid as ****. lesson learned, always check the air pressure before riding, especially on a new-to-you bike.peace

Ya, I have become air check **** because that experience. I have a nice/accurate air gauge that I keep in my tank bag so I can check often.

Iīm running some Maxxis Supermaxx Sport tires at 34/36 and I donīt have strips but I have some pretty good mountain roads to heat them up properly

Being said that, I donīt care about them and the only reason I donīt have them know is because the tires are new and i had to remove that nasty rubber mold they all come with.

The lack of strips on the street only show your bad riding form...
