CAREFUL on fresh pavement - it is slick as s**t!!! The ultra smooth blacktop is really oily and is slippery when dry... and lethal when wet.
I'm sure you knew that already... but just a footnote! |

I'm down to about a quarter inch on the right, thanks to freeway ramps :D Not much else in the way of turns here, even the Ducati factory demo ride couldn't find anything better than the cloverleafs and a traffic circle :icon_doh:
Attachment 54052 The left is more like 3/4" . . . not so much a "chicken" strip, as a "there's no freakin decent left turns around here" strip :icon_razz: Still not too bad for a Saskatchewan bike :icon_couchhide: |

I picked up a few sets of slicks for my bike -- when it is in one piece again I'll have to post fresh pics :D Going to need a few track days to get enough laps on the bike to get it setup again.

I was determined to get rid of mine one day and did. I blasted around for about 20 minutes. I actually picked up paint from the road on the lip of my tire. I was very excited.
However, I normally run the typical 1/4 inch from normal use. I do a lot of up and down riding, and my tire loses tread in the center LONG before it does on the sides. I usually have to replace the tires because of no center tread with the sides at like 60% But after my wreck, I've decided that the "chicken strips" can stay on until I hit a track. I KNOW I can get my lean on. |
Hmmmm ? looks like the glass paper , on the wheel stands are working great for some of you guys ....:icon_couchhide:
