Cheater?
so my rear tire is real slippery when i lean real low . partially my fault because a while ago i put tire shine on them.(yeah i know im stupid) i tried everything to get them clean and they where still really slick when i would lean. so i got some sand paper and took the rubber down just enough to get the surface sticky. i just dont want to low side and i almost have couple times due to this tire. so the question is .... am i a cheater.

I'll have to think about that one before I vote, tyres work by the fact that as they wear & so are putting new rubber to the road, so I guess your just helping them along in the process.
On my old beemer the center of the tyre (metzler's) never seem to wear & as a result became as hard as brick & taking a file to it helped them along.
No I don't think you are a cheater unless you brag or take credit for the wear to the edge, I think cautious would be a better description.

Westleys Bleech White woulda done the trick just fine
As for the slipperyness. Keep in mind, every time your tire gets warm from riding, anything that has soaked into the tire will move to the surface, even if you don't see it when the tire is cold. I highly doubt the sandpaper would do anything to remove a product that has soaked into the tire. Just be cautious for a bit as it may come back to the surface as the tire warms up. I would get the tire warm and pull over and right way check the tire to see if its slippery. The best you can do is learn from this and not armor-all the tires. Oh yeah, and don't armor-all the seat or the handgrips either..
