I had one on a Shoei RF-1000 and they didn't get along well together, lots of chance for scratches etc. Great in group rides but I agree with Classic about being a distraction at times.

This is why you plan your route ahead of time to avoid having to buy things like this. I listen to my Zune with only 1 ear phone in. I know what everyone is going to say but I found that it keeps me focused on the task at hand. I thought about getting one but choose not to due to they are to damn expensive and I would be the only one that would have one in my group when I ride with them. I like nothing more than to carve up some twisties by myself. I am done now.

Do not get it due to cost and friends must have one to talk to them. Not worth it.

I listened to ear plugs on my 600RR but the Yosh was LOUD over time. Now that I have the 1000 with stock exhaust I can ride without them (unless I'm stuck behind someone with a damned D&D.

Two channels gives you the opportunity to change over incase you pick up someone else's frequency. That is the only part of your Q I can answer. So Solly.
