Time for spooks, then...........
It's silent time in the cemetery, in the hours after midnight, and the wind moans softly through the trees, with the moonlight casting moving shadows, like the souls of the departed, flitting from stone to stone. A lone tomcat screeches his lament to the stars, and the fallen leaves rustle, like approaching footsteps..............
Time for chills, children.......[X(]

All the computers stand empty, unattended, those which were the lifeblood of some, and a doorway into other worlds for those competent in their use.
But now, here they stand, forlorn monuments to wasted technology, covered in dust.
A window bangs in time with the wind in the empty, lonely house.........
Hard to remember the happy times, before the radiation, and the rise of the machines.........[X(]

No one would have believed, in the last years of the
nineteenth century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds
of space.

No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope
studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.

Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds
immeasurably superior to ours regarded this Earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us.
