Stinky (ffingers), the season is sooooo long, and I don't know jack about baseball. It is such a slow sport that I don't watch until the playoffs. I do love them damn Yankees, and I hate those damn Redsox, but I wouldn't want to follow all 160+ games in a season. Hope to see you next fantasy football season, though. I will win outright next year instead of being second (first place loser).

seriously people, i know the season is long, but there isn't much maintenance...just get your players and let them run for the week...honestly, barring an injury or suspension or something, you're not going to do much player shifting...

it works head to head meaning you are going to have like 5-7 games in a week for any one player...if he misses a game or two, it won't kill you...plus stats are cummulative...meaning


your 1B gets 5 hits in the week
your 2B gets 7 hits in the week
your 3B gets 2 hits in the week

you got a total of 14 hits

your opponent had a rough week

his 1B gets 2 hits in the week
his 2B gets 3 hits in the week
his 3B gets 6 hits in the week

he got a total of 11 hits

YOU WIN (that stat).....

so really, you just watch baseball and hope for the best...essentially the thread on the board will be just to smack talk each other!

 

ffingers, you can run the league any way you want, but in the past it has always been determined by 5 offensive categories and 5 pitching categories....you have every category for each...its gonna get really confusing. im used to this:

offensive:
Stolen Bases
Runs
RBI's
Home Runs
Batting Average

Pitching:
Strikeouts
Wins
Saves
ERA
WHIP

i can see maybe going to 7 categories each, but like 30 for each is gonna be really hard to keep up with.

GIDP= i know what it is, but who else does????

L=losses? nahhhh i mean if your guy goes 8 innning and gives up 1 run and he loses 1-0 that would suck
CG=no too much work, harding ever happens now a days.

BB=mayyyybe but not really a tell tale sign of a good pitching performance

that all being said.....i will play however yoru league is set up, BUT it will be much easier for newbies to understand if you streamline it a little.

 

hmmm....yeah it looks like it's a lot...i think when i did it i forgot that this wasn't a poitns league...haha...

last year i got pissed that some people got bonus poitns...but in the head to head, it's not that big a deal...

i will tone it down...i forgot about that when i set it up...no worries...
