Otherwise I have this for a toy. 12.80 @ 106mph. Still corners nice. Fun.

Of course. It is a 78 with all the bells and whistles. 400 pontiac, (not the 403) came with 4spd, now has TH400 to make it more consitent. It has the T/A everything in a Formula. Nice find. Y-99/WS-6. And it;s factory Goldenrod Yellow. I haven't seen one like it yet, although one or two may exist. Kinda sucks with the 6X heads though. Compression is soooo low on this newer stuff.

You gotta grab those Edelbrock heads man (or the Kaufmann). For some reason aluminum wakes these Pontiacs up. The 403 was a ****ty Olds engine...glad to you you avoided it. Sounds like a hell of a car. Those 6X heads can't be too bad with the times your running. Alot of people prefer them who are still running iron heads, actually.

 

Yeah, they make a great turbo head. 101cc heads kinda suck. Milled them down .060 and they still come to like 92cc. Crappy. They do flow nice, they just dont make good compression with out dome pistons, which I would just as soon avoid. I've looked at the Edelbrock for years and just never did it. I dont drag race with it anymore so I've pretty much stopped throwing money at the drivetrain and just drive it. It'll surprise a few.

 

'99 Ranger 4x4 off road. Not too many mods, just head/taillights so far.
