I have 12 trucks at work and I need alarms for them. These are crew trucks and we want there to be a push button on the inside of the car like older alarms used to have, under the dash or something; this is instead of having a remote. Ive been looking for a unit that either has this or is capable of having it. Anyone know of anything similar?

 

Why not just have a remote? If you think some mayget lost or what ever buy extra's to put on the key chains. Thats to risky. That just defeats the point to me, as car theives know that some alarms do have them and know where to look for them if they have them.

 

Our crew guys will destroy them, thats why. We are not so worried about the truck getting stolen, this is just a first chance at knowing someone is in the vehicle, while on the job site, lots of tools etc. I already have GPS on these trucks in case they are stolen, or in case I need to find my guys. Boss says he wants the button, I get the ones with a button.

 

Its called a valet switch but are the guys going to turn them on and off when needed. I have not heard of any that automatically turn on after exiting the vehical.

 

i think that is the idea. i never used one so i dont know. good question though.

 

thats enough of an answer right there....I would assume there are some alarms that still offer this but I havent saw them in years....best bet is to call around, call one of the companies that makes alarm systems I'm sure they can get what you want.

plus if you need 12, they might even give you a better price
