Harley's are a different breed from our bikes. But even they can't escape a bit of torque loss running the pipes the way they do. Ever notice how you hear one take off and think "damn, he's flying" only to look up and see he's barely moving.

 

There's few things that annoy me more than a vehicle with a sound that doesn't match the power. Riced out Civics are the best example. I expect to see a flash of pure speed fly by me when I hear them coming, but then I look and I see a rickety POS with unpainted body panels going the speed limit.
