can i buy you a beer?
Ive been doing some research but still have some questions on a few things.
1. steering dampners? how good are ours from the factory. what exactly do they do.
2. chain wax or oil?
3. I get a little rebound in my bike when i get on a kinda bumpy road sorta like a light pogo stick. How should I adjust my bike.

1: We get factory Steering Dampers on our hondas? Wat they do is make a front end harder to turn, making tank slappers more manageable. The F4i and RR don't need one for street. If you're a track junkie then i'd get one because you are taking turns a TON faster than the street and you're overall speed is way up there.
2: Chain wax. Honda Pro white graphite or Maxima Chain Wax are my personal preferances.
3: so it feels like the bike is hopping around on you? what's your weight with gear?

the best thing you can do is learn as much as you can on setting up your bike yourself. for us to try to help you without knowing a lot of stuff about the facts is asking the impossible.do a search on setting up your bike, learn as much as you can then write us back for help when you feel you can understand what we are talking about.not trying to be rude I have learned that for one trying setting up your bike you have to understand what each componant does. Most riders just get on and ride and not even know what there bike is doing.

+1 re the steering damper, you just don't need it on a cbr 600. I prefer chain wax for less fling but use oil for long periods of particularly wet weather. If using oil give plenty of time before riding onff to prevent excessive fling and mucking up all your swing arm and bodywork.
re the suspension, your weight and set up is important, it sounds like you have no rebound dialed into the shock.......or the shocks knackered. if tuning your suspension only do one thing at a time so that you can change it back if it makes matters worse.
