those are all pretty good bands. not many know them but are amaizing.

 

I'm a prog nerd myself, but I like some black metal now and again. If you can, check out a band called "Egg". They only made three albums and their last one, "The Civil Service", is genius...

Well jd, its not exactly my kind of music. But I'm all for listening to some good tunes when its been a rough day. So I completly understand there. Technically all music is "emo" most songs are about "emotions" and few band members actually cut there wrists. hahaha Anywaysss, Call it what you will.

That sounds like a knock off of Alexisonfire, they're a Canadian band not sure if they're big in the states but you should check them out.
