Rule of thumb. Look at the minimum specs of a game and mulitiply by 2 and that'll be what you need to play the game decently.

I own both a 360 and a PS3. I like the ps3 better in nearly all aspects (the 360 has some better online features) so I have to ask...

Do you (the people that say the 360 is better than the PS3) really think the 360 is better or is it just jealousy raging out since you don't own a PS3? j/k

seriously though, you know how first impressions mean alot??? have you ever played madden on the ps3??? LAG-tastic!!! online community cant touch x-box live...sure ps3 came out more recently so its all new and shiny, and it has better graphics blah blahblah yackity smackity...pyschojester himself likes the ps3 better, yet mentions how the game selection SUCKS...so which would you rather play? a system with awesome graphics and crappy games? or a system with graphics ALMOST as good, with the best online community ever, and games that rock your socks?

When playing 360 or PS3 you dont make a decision on one factor, IE you said the graphics are amazing. But you take into factor everything else. ya the graphics on the 360 might not be as good as ps3 but the 360 also came out almost a full year if not more before the PS3 did. secondly 360 has way better Live connection and community. 3rd Game selection, uhh besides Resist tell me another good game for PS3. 4th - I can connect my PC to my 360 and watch videos/ music / pictures on my TV because of teh 360. When's the last time you downloaded videos/music/ pictures and watched them on your TV thru ur xbox. 5th - the six axis controller on the ps3 is a piece of crap. 6th - you have to switch from rca to component to hdmi on the ps3, as in 360 it automatically figures out what conncetion it's using. No i dont own a PS3 but my friend bought one the day it came out and brought it over to my house. not only did it take us 2 hours to figure out you have to switch the stupid piece of crap to hdmi but when he took it back to his place, he had to bring it back so we could switch it rca because you can't see the FKing screen when your not displaying the correct setting. 7th - Why do you think Sony is 3rd in national sales, EVEN when it was the newest and latest console to be released? Now you know why I hate the PS3 and it doesn't come close to owning a 360.

I dont own any of the latest consoles cuase.............PC is the creator, but thats besides the point.

But if I had to choose I'd probably go with the 360. Tons of games, pc friendly, hackable, upgradeable harddrive, I've gotten use to the controller, hopefully soon 360 and pc can play together , also its Microsoft. Ewwwww the evil empire. Yes I know, but for a company to come out of nowhere and release their first console and take over by storm is a big pat on the back.

Graphics: Yes, this is a BIG decision for me, being a PC fan. Its not the only one, but its ranked in the top 5. Cuase when I see that "cup" I want it so crystal clear I can lick it thru my screen. But I can put the 360 and PS3 besides each other and not complain if one is less than the other. They are both great.

 

1up for the PS3 is the controller. Geeezzz I love that thing. Its the only game to play the Metal Gear Solid series with. I tried it with the xbox1 controller. Hell to the NO!
