there are no emmissions tests for bikes...that is why if it is not bought from a dealer in the state of California it must have 7500 miles on it...not sure why the number is 7500, or what changes in the emmissions after you hit 7500...maybe theres some coating or somethin in the exhaust that burns off once the engine is broken in, i have no clue. BUT If you bought the bike in Cali. the dealer would have already installed the proper emission controller, or the factory would have it installed prior to shipping the new California bikes...the DMV will check your odo when you register the bike if its out of state so unless you have an altered speedo, there is really no way around the 7500 mile thing

and its true so far, at least in my instances, the cops dont really mess with you cause of lights...I havent caught one having a bad day yet, but it hasnt happened to me....yet!! As long as your not being stupid and drawing attention to yourself, there are plenty of dumba##'s around to take your tickets!!!!
