Well I bought the bike and it does run great other than the turn signals dont work and the headlight. I think this is a wiring issue because all the bulbs and fuses are good. The guy said he pulled it out and they just stopped working. I belive him because in the picture on craigslist, the headlight was on so it shouldnt be a big deal. I guess I can use hand signals until I get the turn signals fixed. lol

personally i'd steer clear of an older bike like that, it might run perfectly right now but a lot of the parts for it have been discontinued from honda

the last 700 i worked on needed to have one of it's pulse generators replaced, it was discontinued so the bike basically didn't want to run over 3k rpms bc it couldn't maintain a quick enough sparks

A guy I work with bought a mid 80s shadow last year to learn on, he loves it and its been a dependable ride so far. Everything has an issue sooner or later. Good purchase I think! Welcome to the motorcyle world! and be careful...........
