Default Buddy went down today

One of my best friends brother went down today. I've been riding with him for 4 years. He started off on a 04 Suzuki GS500 and last year bought a brand new 2011 Triumph Dayton 675. Story I was told is he was riding down a 2 lane road and went out to pass some cars and a cement truck. Simply miscalculated and realized he didn't have enough time to pass the cement truck so tucked in behind him but didn't have enough time so slow down and ran into the back of it. Bike went into on coming traffic and was told the bike got ran over. Not sure if it really did get run over or just hit by a oncoming vehicle and got pushed a ways. He broke 2 bones in his neck and 2 ribs. He has full motion of his body and no life threatening injuries so that is good. I have not seen the bike yet but will post pics if I get them. Here are some of his old yellow GS500 and his Daytona that got totaled. Stay safe guys!

Best wishes to him in his recovery.

This is happening way too much lately. Seems like everyday, we are reading about someone going down. Everyone be careful out there, and tell everyone you know to be careful also. The next one we read about, may not recover....

Gnarly helmet.

Glad he's relatively alright. Broken neck - that's some scary ****.

My thoughts are with your m8. Neck and back injuries are the worst and take for effing ever to recover from...

Regarding the volume of crashes...
I'd like to see the statistic. I'm seeing reports that bike registrations are at a modern high so I'm thinking that the volume of crashes is just a factor of more on the road+summer. Thats what I'm hoping it is at least
