Damn, with a car that close...turning or not, he should have used a lil better judgement. At least he didn't slam into your bike and mess up your day too.

Yeah, like I said prior I drive recklessly but there'sa time anda place for everything. I generally like to distance myself when riding with others and if I wanna fool around, I make a huge distance so that no one could be affected if something were to go wrong.

I have a good friend with a VT750 that likes to ride with me and I was foolin around around him with wheelies and stoppies and all. After a stop we were talkin about a friend of his that just got a Harley and that he feels safer riding with me than his bud because I have more control. We had a good laugh, but he knows that I manuver so that he's out of harms way when I play and in citys I am very responsible.

If someone wrote you off every time you screwed up none of us would ride together. The severity of the screw up should be the deciding factor. This buddy crashed close to you...Most of the time when you screw up your buddy has to practice emergency braking or collision avoidance, sometimes you just nut yourself on the fuel tank or make your eyes real big. The crash should be a wakeup call for him, not an excuse tostop riding with him. He obviously could learn something form your superior riding skills.
Soooo, uhhhhhhh...ur kind of a dick, huh?

I probably would not be going back out with that guy after him almost clipping me.

When I say group ride I should explain I mean about 2 other guys. I can also vouch for shoortbuss after doing a decent amount of rides with him. Someone I can push the bike pretty hard with, and not have to wait to catch up since we are at the same pace. Plus he knows his way around Pittsburgh when I normally would get lost.

Kind of a dick huh? Takes one to know one.
Do you need a translation? Many people here have posted that they have made mistakes. Some even run into each other and they get a group hug. One guy has a bad moment and all of a sudden he's not worthy? Give your head a shake dude.

+1 thrasher.

Anyone can up to some silly mistakes that lead to an accidents. Well most of the accidents happen because of some minor things anyway. Is that a reason not to ride with a guy anymore? Certainly no.

No fun for me riding alone. Unless I opt for a cruiser one day.

I havetravelled with a group of guys to Lake Havasu AZ for the past to years around spring break. This year one of the guys(who was the beer bitch) made the jump to sport bikes from a touring bike (now we need a new beer bitch). On one of our day trips to Oatman, on old route 66, this buddy target fixated on a rock on the road, clipped it and ran off the road in a curve. He attempted to correct, got the bike sideways in the gravel and then highsided. He was thrown ahead of the bike and the bike flipped three times sideways. He tumbled approximately 95 feetand came to a rest in a heap.He was the second bike in the group, I was third. I got to watch the whole incident.
I still ride with this guy... He made a noob mistake even though he had ridden for over ten years. He is still improving.
My comment about your buddy benefitting from superior riding skills was not made sarcastically...It is from the experience of teaching a buddy how to be a better rider.
Shortbus maybe ask for a clarification beforecalling people a dick.

I'm not sure what I would do. On one hand, yeah it is a mistake. But he reallydoesnt know the guy that well anyway. Its not like it was his riding buddy or a good friend. If you feel uncomfortable riding with the guy, dont ride with him. You wont have any fun as you'll be constantly on the look out for the guy. Its not any fun if you spend 90 percent of your ride looking in your rear view mirror.

To me, its not any different than not riding with the guy that rides next to you instead of staggered, or the guy that rides too fast, or too slow,... either way, you dont want to call a guy to ride with that doesnt have the same riding style as you. it just makes for a crappy ride together.

I can see if he made a rookie mistake, not to hold it against him,but sitting on the gas tank and crashes right next to him? I'm not sure if that qualifies for a rookie mistake.

No clarification needed, I still think you're a dick and a d-bag. This thread was moving along just fine without the attitude you brought to it. Statements like "He obviously could learn something form your superior riding skills" do nothing to move the conversation forward. If you wanna make your point, make it...don't bring nonsense like that into a conversation that was moving along very maturly til you showed up.

So, ur a dick, a d-bag, a c-muscle, an asshat, and a chooch.
