i have some extra money to spend finally. im either going to get some icon field armor boots or and chain snd sprocket kit -1/+2. which one should i but?

Unless your in need of sprocket? But it sounds like you just want a gearing change.

If you need a new chain/sprockets soon go that way. That is of course if you already have some decent footwear.

i wear shox lol but my chain is getting really bad.

It's a shame that you've got to make a choice between the two. I go with the safety equipment every time.

ask yourself what you need, honestly. than get that. as long as your chain isnt strecthed out just clean it.

i love my field armor boots. riding in my dc's feels like im riding barefoot.

i'd say if you can afford to use that money for the protective gear and work up the money for the gearing, then do that. BUT......if the chain/sprocket are getting worn and hindering your riding........i'd get what is necessary to keep the bike on the road then work up the money for the protective gear.
