I have a similar pair a few years old. They have stood the test of time. Alpinestars build good boots.

I have the S-MX Plus (I know, not exactly the boot you're asking about) and I have to agree with thrasher. The S-MX Plus is my second pair of A*'s. The fit well and are comfortable to wear all day. They also fit pretty close to size. Mine are a Euro 40, which is a 6.5 (I have a small foot). They hold up well under abuse, too. If I had the money, I would not hesitate to buy another pair.

Those are pretty sweet. I don't have any personnel experience with them but from everything I've heard & read you can't go wrong with either A*'s or sidi's boots. I'm due for some new boots and those are on the short list. If you get them throw up a post & let us know what you think of them.

I have the same boots. They have been great so far, but they have not been fully tested in the rain. The one ride I did do in rain was light off and on rain, and my feet stayed dry. I have'nt felt the urge to ride on a real rainy day, I usually cage it on nasty days.

Thanks guys, I won't be getting these right away. I think Santa might get them for me. When I do get them I will let you know how they are.....I will be wearing them for a few months in the house before all the snow disappears. As far as riding in the rain I don't make a it a habit but I thought for the small amount of extra cash I want dry feet if I get caught in it.

thanks.
