Bookbags and riding
 

I wear a bookbag when Im riding for misc ****. Visor smokes hats whatever. And it seems like no matter where I stop someone has a horror story about bikes and bookbags. And it is always the same story. Doesnt that bother you, I had a friend get ripped off his bike from the wind catching it like a parachute. Is there any truth to that whatsoever. If someone got ripped off the bike by a bookbag they musyve weighed 5 lbs.

I think thats just silly. I wear mine a lot especially when I go to work because they always like to go out for lunch so I run and get lunch and it's a little hard to carry stuff on my bike without a backpack. I don't see how someone can get thrown off their bike like that, that's just silly.

I'm with HighRevver, I use my Alpinestar backpack all the time and have been a LOT faster than him with it on, LOL. It never once bothered me nor did I ever notice wind drag etc. from it.

I wear my backpack all the time, too, and never even notice it, so it must not restrict anything. That would be awesome, though, if i parahutted up and watched my bike zip down the road by itself... lol, until it crashes.... and until i get blown into the sun, then it would suck.

i wear my back pack everyday and i dont have any problems. maybe once in a while it will be empty and i can feel the wind hitting it but nothing as so dramamtic as to be pulled off by the wind hittin it. people just like to talk and even if it means sayin **** that isnt true

yeah, i don't know who's telling you that but it's a load of crap ;) unless you have a hidden parachute in your backpack you're not going to go flying off your bike :D

the only problem i had was with the little straps that hang down when you adjust how tight you want it on you. they were so long they would flap around and actually hurt me. then i heard one hit my bike so i cut them off when i got to work. but anyway i would put money on there being no way somebody can get lifted off their bike by there backpak

yeah sometimes the straps have nicked me but I wear a pretty full just plain jansport backpack to class all the time.

Last night when I got out of class at 10:30 PM I hit 120 on the highway and I didnt fly off like a parachute LoL so I wouldnt worry about it.
