I use black Friday to build my Craftsman tool collection... And, I mostly only buy the tools that are 50% off. Two years ago they had a $1500 tool box (22 drawer, ball bearing) for $699, and even got them to take 10% off that! I probably have spent $1500 for $3000 worth of tools over the last 3 years. My collection is getting better every year, piece by piece.

Deals can be had, but I have never stood in line waiting for a store to open. I usually stroll in around 11am so I can still get some door buster sales. Picked up a Craftsman 3/8" drive inch-lbs torque wrench ($40), titanium coated drill bits ($20), and 3 Craftsman vice grip pack ($20)... all 50% off today.

Some sales stink, and others are great. Just have to weed through the junk, ha.

I didn't even go out of my house until after 2:00 this afternoon. I hate crowds.

+1 Jeff, I'd probably get thrown in the slammer for attempted murder if I went to the mall or one of the big chain stores today !

......... so anyone see any killer bike related black Friday "steals" online ???

Three of us went out at midnight openings on Friday, mainly just to look at all the crazies. After the stores died down around 2am, we shopped a bit at Target and got a Christmas tree and some DVDs on sale. Then I went shopping Saturday at the local mall to see if either of the two leather jackets I've had my eye on were on sale, and one of them was, so I picked it up along with some other nice clothes.
