I was out for a ride minding my own business when the Luke Skywalker of the bug world got me. Here I am helmet on, glasses on, visor down cruising around 70mph when SMACK! A bug hits. Now I have been hit by millions of these little pests in over 30 years of riding but this one managed to target the vent and disintegrate with such explosive force that parts of it made it behind the visor, glasses, and into my right eye. Blink. Blink. Blink.
No pain. Just a dry itchy feeling. I finished the ride, checked the eye, no concerns.
I woke up in the morning. Now I usually stumble around trying to find my way of my room past the knee deep motorcycle gear in the dark, but I was having trouble and the sun was up. I couldn't open my right eye. The lid was stuck together with goop.
It got me.

i hit a humming bird three or four weeks ago at about 75 mph. I couldnt believe something hit me that hard it snapped my neck back. there was blood all over my helmet starting in the top center and went down to the right and the blood was on inside and outside of my visor. i got to work and the guys were like wtf did you hit. but +1 on not going outside in a thunderstorm anytime soon lol. although if you do get struck by lightning GO PLAY THE LOTO. you are 2 times more likely to win the loto then be struck by lightning
