Bike stolen
Bastards got my bike. '07 CBR1000RR - Metallic Silver.
Stole it last Monday in the middle of the day. An apartment with parking under the building (but not gated). My wife's car blocks it in. She was home in the morning, ran out to the gym around noon. Came back about 2 pm and it was gone.
Had a disk lock up front. Alsohad a20mm Kryptonite braided steel cablethrough the frame & rear tire to a bike anchor bolted in cement floor. They must have cut the cable. Took the bike, the lock, thecableand the bike cover. Nothing left but the bike anchor.
What pi$$es me off just as much as it getting stolen is that if I get another, it's open season for the same *gentleman* to come back and get that one too.
Only had it three weeks. Didn't have plates yet & cops said it didn't even show in DMV when they ran the VIN. Completely stock, was just getting ready to take it in for the 600 mile service.
VIN: JH2SC57137M300007
Not that I expect to get it back, or that it's even still in one piece, but DAMN, would I LOVE forthe *****'s that took it to get caught! Or at least find some pieces.
I keep watching for local motorcycle accidents hoping it's my bike. Is that wrong?... I don't really care.
Not looking for sympathy. Just had to vent.

RE: Bike stolen
If they had the tools and knew where it was, it's most likely they have been there before and will continue to be around. It was also most likely the freinds of someone who lives there since I'm sure you just couldn't see the bike sitting there along with the cables and locks from the street.
I hope you find it, but I am doubtful it is anything but parts now.[:'(]

Yep, definitely insured. Didn't think I'd actually be using it.
Just have to wait the mandatory 2 weeks to see if it shows up first.
If I replace it, I'll consider lo-jack next time. And not so much because I'll want to get it back if it's stolen, but more so that there is a good chancethe cops will be able to track where (& who) it goes.

sucks man, but as we say, if they want it, they will get it. if not the first time, the second time, and if not, the third. glad you have insurance, the only place our rides are safe isin the garage. i pay $60/mo just so i can keep mine under a roof. idk how much stock parts off an 07 would be going for about now since they are still relatively new. who knows, chances are you will never see her again though.
