two words......pellet gun....
Haha!! Exactly.
When I was about 12yrs old, I had a mouse in my room that would wait till I shut the lights off and crawl up on a transformer I had plugged into a power strip.
Sooo... I rigged up a string to the light and laid there with a CO2 pellet pistol. I'd pull the string and then shoot at it. LOL..
Took me several tries (and many pissed off visits from the old man), but I finally capped that little chit...

But back on crazy huge spiders...

**shudder** spiders.... Here in FL the ginourmous spiders are grouped into "bananna spiders". Almost ran face first into a few of them around the state parks here. They spread their webs across the trails and you might just be unlucky enough to walk into them...

We have one of those in our house at the moment & their totally harmless. Although they a fairly predatory on other house spiders & insects (Called a Huntsman Spider).
OK, I like spiders or I should say I respect them, we have a lot of, well, fairly dangerous to deadly types here & depending on how close to the bush you are. Huntsman are a tree spider & only come into the house by accident.
Where as one of these can come into the house because they can & there ain't nothing you can bloody do about it.

South Berwick, Maine for me, pretty far south of Wiscasset

We dont get anything scary but ice storms and bears. Spiders freak me out, there is a pic somewhere of a big spider in the corner of a ceiling, with a millions little spiders just hatching out of their eggs......I would burn the house down.
