! Kobe is arguabley the best player in basketball today. Also, I have heard some sports writers/anylists saying he will end as the best of all time (I listen to sports radio ESPN, NFL, and NBA radio all day during the week in my truck when I am on my sales calls). I couldn't list all the great players because there are too many good athletes and too many opinions, but I think the list was pretty good. I chose Ali. In my opinion he transceded the sport of boxing and has become a national treasure and an icon. Plus, his daughter is smokin' hot!

As much as I agree with your statements, you have to remember that stupid hick sport is the largest sport in America. I like my racers to have different cars so I watch ALMS. Speed should have an entire channel or two for NASCAR so those of us who like other kinds of racing may get a chance to watch our favorites at times other than 1am.

There needs to be at leastthree speed chanels. Speed Americas, Speed Europe, and Speed Asia. Handle all the diverse types of racing not just "COOKING WITH NASCAR LEGENDS" OR "HOW TO HANG CURTAINS STARRING KASEY KANE"!!!!!!!!!!!

That won't work either because the American channel would still be dominated by Nascar. Again, at least one Nascar channel plus those other three... maybe a motorcyle channel ...

I thought I hated NASCAR. Those guys can race, the cars suck, the rules suck, the ovals suck, but some of those guys are as talented as some of the F1 drivers (maybe not Senna, Schumi, Kimi...) but the racing is different. Drafting is an art, boring, but still an art. Anyway, I still think I am awesome.

True, Nascar doesn't even tick over on my excitometer, but hauling *** with forty other honktards is still impressive, even if it's in circles. I put those two on my list because they 'dominated the sport' like nobody else, and since I'm partial to motorsports, gotta give a nod to the southerners across the fence--even though they snub my European ground-plane preference. An F1 car would stay stuck to the road even if it were going upside down at only 70mph.
