Default beer + laptop = fail

So my laptop has no taste for good beers. Knocked over a bottle of Magic Hat and some splashed on my laptop. Keyboard is dead. Thought it was only a tiny bit till I pulled the keyboard off. Was kinda soaked in there.

Took some electronics cleaner spray and dousedbit till the stuff was running out clear. Put the keyboard in a sunny window and will see what happens. Worse comes to worse, ill get a wireless keyboard and connect the laptop to my flatscreen (girlfriend will really love that )

Get a large bag.
Fill it with rice.
Put said part in said bag.
Wait.
Profit?

I found out that trick after my last phone drowned and I had bought a new one already.

One of my roommates did that after she just bought her laptop. Took the laptop back to Best Buy and said the keyboard doesn't work and got a new one. I blame her *****.

Ooh what magic hat?? Magic Hat #9 is delicious.. I haven't had any of the others.

Oh ja, sorry about yer laptop, bro. Never heard of the rice trick. I'm assuming you just set the keyboard on top of the rice and the rice absorbs the moisture within the sealed bag.. First I was like wait why would you put rice on the keyboard, wouldn't that be a whole other set of problems.. hahaha must be all this blonde I just got..

That's pretty sweet. I'll have to keep that in mind.

yes the rice method works for all electronics that happen to meet with a liquid. depending on the amount of liquid, overnight should be fine.
