Speak to the person on the phone before you drive 4 hours. 9 times out of 10 you can tell on the phone if the seller could possible be yanking you.

Going to see about picking this one up one day this week.

http://texarkana.craigslist.org/mcy/1999278879.html

It has been laid over and this is the new fairings, he also has the full set of old fairings. Going to try and get it for $3200 if i can. Luckily this one is only an hour and a half away, told the guy he should have posted earlier yesterday and i could have come and got it then lol.

He's supposed to be sending me more pics, but it looks like the tank was just rattle canned black to match the fairings....I'm thinking i can get it for $3200 or maybe even a little less.

waiting on the guy from texarkana to get back to me about my offer. Said he had $4k in the bike but knew he wouldn't get it back out of it......he emailed me last night and wanted to know if i had a glock 40 i would throw in the deal. Dont have one so i stood on my $3100 since it has been laid down and he had to replace fairings, headlight, speedo and tank....thinking it must have been pretty bad crash.

this one got put up today and i already emailed him and will be calling him later today. Thinking i can prolly get it for $2500 which would be a steal, looks pretty good too. A bit nervous going from my F4 and F4i to a 929 though.

Went up to $3200 on my offer to for this and may do $3300 if he still don't bite. Figure i can throw a stator cover on and it will look like new.

Update: He said he will take $3300 and hold it for me til Friday, going to pick it up as soon as i get off work. It also comes with the original fairings minus the front.

All i need for it is mirrors and front turn signals, already ordered both. Got some plain black mirrors and some hot bodies (knock off) turn signals lol. Also ordered a new stator cover to go on it. Already spending cash on it and wont pick it up til tomorrow. Good thing is it just got out of a scheduled service at the Honda dealer in the town I'm getting it. So it wont need an oil change or fluids for a bit.

My parts wont be here til Monday and i leave Tues morning for Arkansas and wont be back til Friday. That weekend if your off let me know, we can make a round. Will be the weekend of the 22nd-24th

Well after a 2 hours drive up to Arkansas i got to see the bike i had seen many many pictures of. It looked awesome in all the pictures.....then got up on it and they weren't even made for the damn bike. The freaking F4i had a set of 600rr fairings on it, all the damn bolt holes were being held with zip ties.

I talked to the guy on the phone....he emailed me a ton of pics and still didn't catch this. Even asked him how the aftermarket fairings fit and he said fine. So im ****-outta-luck this week getting a bike. Going to keep looking and see what i can find in the next couple weeks. Figure when the temp starts to drop some nice deals will come up.

Will also only deal with people who can get a notarized bill of sale for the bike. It seems only La and a handful of other states require the title to be notarized....so you have to supplement a notarized bill of sale to go along with the title at the dmv.

I can't even explain how aggravated i am after a wasted day and on top of it all i ordered all those damn parts for it....o well guess they can go on the one i finally get.

Wow, that really sucks man. What a tool for not telling you they were hled on with zipties. I would have been furious.

He said he didn't think it was a big deal....i was pretty pissed. Going to be on the look out every night this week when i get to my hotel. Then when i get back in town Friday hopefully i will have found something. Preferably something local....seems like everyone i talk to out of state doesn't know about needing a notarized bill of sale to go along with the title.
