Just emailed this guy
http://cenla.craigslist.org/mcy/1994158266.html
only got $3100 right now, wont be able to bump that up to around $4k til payday this Friday.
Would rather not have the banana seat, just cause i love having the trunk but i can deal with it until i can get the parts to swap it out. Dont like it having the straight exhaust but....beggars can't be choosers. Going to run by a few dealers around here and see if anyone had been in trying to sell their bikes. Thats how i sold my f4i just told the guy at the honda dealer i was looking to sale and he gave my number to anyone who couldnt afford the new RR's.

This guy just let me know he would take $3100 but im going to hold out for a bit and try to luck up with a split seat model. Would need an exhaust for it too which would bump the price up....going to see if i can get it for any cheaper. At least then i could have some cash to pay for an exhaust and split seat conversion.

THX, not having much luck though, that bike in central la was a bust. The rear fairing was cracked through and being held togethor with zip ties. All the decals on it were whight spray paint over a aftermarket pre-painted fairing. And it had a straight exhaust off the headers...so i turned it down. Even the wings on the tank were covering up dents that had started to rust.
Found a nice one that just came up in dallas and emailed him, if he still has it friday i may ride over and get it if i can't find anything else.
Just wish something close by would pop up so i dont have to drive 4 hours just to look at the bike. I try to get all the info out of these guys before i go but i know their probably going to hold some info back.

ya i hear ya, i just traveled 3 hrs to go pick up a 954rr to find out the guy lied about it being laid down. needed a stator cover and gasket, front brake lever, new tank, front fairing. Dropped offer by five hundred, he said ya. Then the worst part - took it for a spin and it had a wobble. dont know if the forks were out of line, frame issue or bent rim. Walked away from that one pretty quick, it must be something kinda serious tho cause the tags were two and a half years old.
unfortunately all the best deals you seem to have to travel for, atleast when you get back you know the bike can make a couple hour trip
