IF there is a mention of concern from ANY member we WILL step in and say something......yes
IF we see a thread that WE find offensive we may stop it before it offends aomeone else......yes

I know Musichyp already said what needs to be said, but... I'd like to say:

Yes it's a bike forum. Yes we are adults. If you put an adult theme picture in public view for all to see, it will be removed as soon as I see it. And copy it for myself. If you want to flirt, talk about sex or what ever else offends the masses here (believe me when I say masses, you should see my inbox)... then put a note in the title that simple says "some may find offensive". Do not put adult theme or NSW, that will just tie it up with perverts looking in and bitching they didn't see anything.

I understand each side of this. This is not an adult theme site and for those thinking that most of the members would like it to be, wrong. It would be far easier for us to delete anything adult like and move on. But I do not feel that is fair. Off topic is listed as "A place for you CBR junkies to boldly go off topic. almost anything goes." Almost will be determined by admins and mods. And that is largely, if not solely, based on the hate mail we receive about the topic.

I need to go back and look over the 30+ page post about .... hell, what was it about? Anyways, keep it somewhat clean guys, and gals... and for those that are offended, forward the thread to me and explain why your offended (if it's not obvious) and I'll deal with it according to the rules.

Sick pictures of the dead people, I think I'm guilty of that myself. We not supporting the faces of death here, but if it's bike or crash related and has a warning in the title, it meets the rules. If you ever have a concern about any mod or admin selectively enforcing the rules, don't comment in the thread, point it out to me and I'll deal with it.

Don't ever start a thread singling anyone or any one certain group out, like moderators. Please be the mature one and forward it to me to review. IF you don't like me, you have Musichyp.

very well said don .. i think when put like that alot of people might understand your and the other admins/mods position better. im curious though if people had a problem with it , they couldve said something in the thread instead they just go run and tell the admins (even though i understand thats the type of thing ur there for) . for all we know the same people encouraging the thread could be undermining it as well . if anyone has a problem i would like to think it could be addressed without fear of getting flamed or bashed on. but thats just how i feel

 

I remember at some point, in highschool, I had an epiphany. I was a bit of a trouble maker, but at some point, I realized when I played within the rules, I could actually get away with a lot more...I had more freedom to do what I wanted. I don't know if that makes sense, but it has worked for me in general. I think the same is true here. If we play by the rules, we can bend them a little. I am guilty of blatent innuendo, but to this point I have not been told to cool it (should I have said that out loud?). I think we are given plenty of room to bend the rules on this forum. Now, I know I sound like an *** kisser which, in my entire life, I do not aspire to be, but I genuinely like the folks on this forum, and I like our topics, and I hope that we can all realize it is easy to comply. Being a public forum with sponsors, there has to be a semblance of organization. Anyway, I think our admins said it best. Nobody is trying to take a leak in anyone's Cheerios. P.S. if anyone wants some links to a one legged midget and a hairless chimpdoing rude things to a flaming dead chicken carcass in outer space, pm me.
