Now is your chance to have an invention solve that problem!

I am currently in Junior Design as an Electromechanical (Double majoring in Electrical and Mechanical engineering) and me and three of my classmates have to solve a problem of some sort and come up with a Marketable solution and prototype by the middle of may.

It must include electrical and mechanical components in the design. No matter how big or small your problem just throw it out there It may be quite feasible for us to solve.

Some examples:
- Window air conditioners way too heavy. Always need a hand putting it in.
- Never know exactly how strong the UV rays are at the beach on a particular day.
- Snowblower wont get all the way down to the pavement.
- Lines are too long at the Grocery store.
- Constantly losing something (keys, phone, tv remote)
- Cant be home to water my plant.
- Always falling asleep while im driving.

etc

Looking foward to seeing what you guys could use to make your lifes a bit easier. Appreciate any responses.

How about your electric bills are to high so you make a green kit? Plastic to cover the windows(keep the cold air out/in), The things that go underneath the front door, The light bulbs which last for ever, The thing that makes the toilet flush with less water and a a little pot, some soil(fit in a zip block bag) and a bag of seeds to plant something.

 

We need more global warming...I'm tired of winter.

These are always tough to think of in the moment. I guess the biggest annoyance in my life is bedsheets coming undone. I wish there were a device that connected to all 4 corners of the sheet, forming an X in the center under the mattress and in that intersection there was a little tightening device that you turn to make your sheets immobile. God that would be awesome.

tires specifically for FWD, RWD, or AWD cars
ovens that dont take 8 minutes to preheat
invent an ink alternative for printers that isnt so expensive

gump all great ideas but for my project i have to have some sort of electrical component to go along with the mechanical ones

thrasher. there are othre ways t oget warm other than destroy the ozone haha but wouldnt it be great to just have a warm planet and make only certain places cold.

reviling fool a fast heating oven is right up my ally i am definately going to bring that up to my group.
