I was curious if anyone on the site was an A.B.A.T.E. member in Indiana. My band won a battle of the bands last weekend. And now we're playing at the "Boogie" this year. I live about 50 miles from where it's held. But I've never been there. Anyone know whatI can expect there?

 

I am a M.A.S.T.A.B.A.T.E. member...but I don't think that is anything to be proud of [&:]. Cool on winning the battle of the bands! What instrument do you play and whatstyle of music do you play?

 

aren't the abate guys the ones who are all pyscho about mandatory helmet laws?

 

Yeah. ABATE is pretty crazy on the helmet laws. As far as I know it's mainly a harley group. The accept anyone. But they all ride cruisers. I'm not a member just playing at the boogie(bike fest).
You know it's funny... the guys who coordinate everything. Actually have shirts that say M.A.S.T.E.R.A.B.A.T.E. on them. It stands for something. But I'm to dense to pay attention to that.
I play the drums. And we play classic rock covers. Like...Led Zepplin,Bad Company,Nazerth,Foghat, Mountain,Ted Nugent. We play some newer stuff too....Nickleback, Audioslave,Jets,Puddle of Mud.
We got original stuff. But it's more Blues/rock.We've been so busy doin' gigs that we haven't had time to practice our original stuff. We've been together for about a year now.
