I was at the xgames yesterday watching the freestyle but I left because Faist and Adams crashed so there was really no one else riding that I wanted to see. I'm with Rammer SoCal is amazing. You drive an hour in any direction and there is a riding spot. I attempted the Baja1k last year but it was a disaster (long story). I won't try it next year because now my shoulder dislocates really easily and I can't always get it in myself and I would NEVER go to a Mexican hospital. I might go preride some of the course again however. I'm a 4 stroker, I love the trails and steep hill climbs. The only reason I want a 2 is for Glamis and Pismo.

i've always had a dirtbike. i'm a horrible rider (read: slow) but i still love it. so needless to say i'm a fan of doing it in the dirt. not much on the x-games stuff though. no disrespect to those athletes, it's just not my cup of tea. my current dirt ride is a drz 400. it's actually the street legal model but most of the DOT stuff has been swapped out with parts from the off-road only model. although it still has a license plate
. it's no jumper, but it's awesome on the tight trails and hills around here. and flying past cars down the street on a dirtbike always gets some funny looks! lol

I have never ridden dirt bikes before, but I was interested in how many people ride both. I was actually thinking of a 250 someday, but I have a friend who has a 490 Yamaha? for sale. That is probably a lot of bike, though. I'm not sure if it makes sense for me, but the price is right and he NEVER rides it...too busy wrenching.

Yep, I ride too. got a CR125 and a XR200, there good pratice before heading out to the street to try stuff, I'm finally getting decient with one handed wheelies on my XR200. This winter I am going to tear down the 200 , rebuild the engine, then customize the frame for stunting, and I want to add passenger pegs similar to what bicycle has, beside the rear wheel, so I can stand on those while doing wheelies, that would be sweet, going to take some heavy modding though.
