Default Any boaters ?

The cold has me thinking/dreaming about being back on the water. I've got a 20' formula w/260 hp 350. Seriously considering 383ing it this winter. Plenty fast, but could use a lot more torqe for ski/wake duty. Will post a pic if i can find one, but i'm not pulling the cover off just for that !! Let me see what your floating so i can forget how cold it is for a min or two

Nice boat Mr !! Love the Masters. Its the only boat i've ever been behind that could pull the rope out of my hands. I like to boat at diff places a lot, and some rough water, so i've always shyed away from the ski boats. On the right water tho, there isn't anything much more fun.

Yea i can see your point. My boat is only used on a little private lake cuz all i do is wakeboard and slalom ski. You cant beat a direct drive boat for those. Now you got me thinkin and wishin it was summer again. Damn you!!!

nice boats. My boat is a 16ft center console with a 30hp yamaha, all camoed out and blinded for duck hunting, with a dog platform. It's covered in fish guts and blood from various animals. I'd like a nice boat, but I'd probably junk it up. Oh yea, also have a grumman canoe, also as desribed above.

This is why i've never fished out of my boat. No matter how carefull you are, the boat ends up stinkin.

Mr, yea the direct drive is the poo for all that. Have boated for years on Lake Of The Ozarks, and man can it get rough on the w/end. 7-8' swells !! They call it lake of the oceans as a joke, but i've seen quite a few boats getting swamped. I just sold my 27' sea ray this summer, and even it wasn't really big enough to keep from getting beat up.

Now you got me thinking of a private lake and a mastercraft to play w/. Damn you !!

Mastercraft does make a 28 footer v-drive boat. The thing looks like a beast. That might be useful on a larger lake. that is if you can shell out the 6 figures to buy one.

Yea, i've seen that before somewhere. NICE boat !! No spare 6 figs in my check book tho ! Hard to beat mastercraft in quality. I've always (untill i bought the formula) stuck w/searay for quality reasons. The formula was just too good of a deal to pass up tho, and they're pretty close in quality. Miss having the bathroom that the searay had, but other that that, the formula has been a great boat so far.

I've got a Scout 185 Sportfish with a 4-stroke Yamaha 115

It's used for fishing (nope - it doesn't stink), tubing with the kids, as well as occasional patrols with the USCG Auxiliary.
