My old bloke (a rottie cross ) is 16 and has had 2 strokes , but still walks (actually staggers )lol , but eats like a horse , chits like a trooper and follows us everywhere around the farm ..... I recon there is a time for these old buggers to die and it's them that knows , not the owners ....
My old Shadow Dog came to me, and looked me in the eyes.
He knew it was time, and then so did I.
They use 2 vials, he was gone after the first half of the first one.
I will miss him always.
If there are no dogs in Heaven, you can keep the place...........

I'm thinking about getting another once we move in December.
Well to update you on the story, the family don't want to euthanize the dog again. But they also have decided to put her up for adoption.
