Default Another one bit..............

Yup thats right, the almighty Dragon bit me today. Actually more like nibbled at me  I lowsided in a hairpin. All my fault, turned in late, lean to far, didnt hang off the bike. But if I had hung off n dragged a knee I prolly woulda been ok. I'll have to get with Trip to figure out which turn it was later. But heres pix.

Oh, Yes I'm ok, bike is rashed a lil but not too bad.

And I will add this. If I only had a t-shirt/jeans, and tennis shoes on, I would be rashed on my back, hip, leg, knee, hands. Thank God I had my gear on beacuse I got nadda, not the first scratch, n no bruises as of yet
WEAR YA GEAR PPL. Or buy lots of bandaids.

Welp that was my weekend ride of 360 miles. How was your ride?

Yeah.........about my ride. LOL!

I lowsided at 70mph a few days ago. And without my leathers, boots, etc, I would have been toast.

How are those boots working out for you? I have the Sidi Doha boots (more like riding shoes, but they call them boots). I've been needing to get me some street/trackday boots to go with my new leathers coming in soon. Pros/Cons?

Also, good job not leaving any fairings to throw up on that tree at the Dragon.

Was the first real outing with the boot. They're comfy as hell, and as ya seen do what they pose to do well.

As far as me saving the fairings, thats was the sliders, and the LEO lol. I'm sure if they wasnt there I would have been doin at least 10mph faster n then the bike n me would have slid futher lol. the bike ended up stoped n rested on a wooden post n sign post. I slid n hopped up n ran to the bike lol.

Hey Play, how'd those boots hold up/feel when you went down? I have some Vertigo's too. I never went down YET, I was wondering just in case I do, I'd have an idea of how they're going to hold up/feel.

Glad to hear that you're okay. Hell, even though the bike's not that bad, I'd of still hung something up on the tree.

I award you a Gold medal for wearing your gear! Good job!

I can tell by your tires you can lean the bike, you just low sided because you didn't offset the balance in the turn ? Which tire gives out ? just curious.

Glad you were geared up, bike looks still ridable.

I didnt hang off any, n to be completely homest it happen so fast I aint sure lol. The guy behind me said it looked like sumtin left the rear. I wish it was on vid, the bike just slid to the side of the road caught dirt n set up against a post like someone put it there lol. Yea you wouldnt catch me up there w/o full gearand I wear all but the pants to 'just run to the store' as some put it. And yes its very ridable lol i rode it the 3hr ride home + a extra hour cuz i miss my turn lol. Major things needed fix are a brake level, true the forks up, a mirror. minors are fix the rashed fainring, and I will be doin the split seat tail swap so thaat fixes the tail fairing lol.
