Another Media Jackass Wants to put the Hurt on Motorcyclists

RE: Another Media Jackass Wants to put the Hurt on Motorcyclists
that bald **** is sore that a biker is banging his wife (maybe even his daughter .... probably @ the same time) while he's wasting time sitting in traffic
sounds like he's the managing editor ... more like a damaging editor if ya ask me

When I see them, they are usually going about 120 mph down I-35E, weaving in and out of lanes like those white lines are just there for show.
Nothing irks me more than sitting in dense 5 p.m. or Friday traffic, only to see a motorcycle driving between the rows of cars, going about 40 mph. I want so badly to open my car door just before they reach me.
I’ll never forget the time I was driving down the George Bush around 10 p.m., when all of a sudden scorching down the road were not only about five motorcycles driving erratically, but they were all riding on their back tires. Popping a wheelie while doing 80 mph down a public roadway: stupid.

after sitting around angered all day, i too decided to leave some feedback for the newpaper that published this story. below is a copy of what i sent.
I recently had the displeasure of reading a column titled "Airing of grievances" by Douglas Simpson. It was brought to my attention by some members of an online motorcycle forum that I frequently visit.
It seems that Simpson fits into the ever-increasing group of media know-it-alls when it comes to motorcyclists and how they use their choice of transportation. He could not be further from the truth. He stereotypes motorcyclists as vigilante hellraisers that create chaos and mayhem for the "normal" commuter. You, sir, are wrong. Way wrong.
I am a responsible rider who is a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and I have also completed multiple Motorcycle Safety Foundation courses. I also choose to ride a sportbike (they style that Simpson obviously attacks.) There are the few lawbreakers out there, but the vast majority of sportbike riders obey all laws and ride well within the confines of what is considered safe.
It is this type of negative stereotyping that angers myself and many other motorcyclists. Should I believe that all media personalities from Texas are underinformed or ignorant? Of course not. That would be wrong. I just firmly stand behind my opinion that Simpson should have been more knowledgable on the subject before allowing these lies to be published.

While he is wrong to want to hurt motorcyclists, he is clearly irritated by the squids, not all cyclists in general.
I am a rider, and squids **** me off. The ******** that weave in and out of dense traffic at insane speeds and who pull 80mph wheelies in traffic are in fact, stupid morons, and when they get killed, you sorta have to admit that they asked for it.
Stupidity is stupidity, and I won't excuse it just because they are on two wheels.
