Default Android quiestions. Again. Noobish

So "my device is dangerously low on space". I think I've still got alot of room on my memory card (4 gig but I also have an 8 gig)

Also what is the best way to switch everything from my small card to my big one (my computer is near worthless)

Thanks guys!

the easiest way I know of would be copy your current sd card contents to your computer than put em all on your bigger card

you might be able to clean up your current card too by deleting any apps you dont use and still have the apk files on your sd card. Might need to get a better file explorer to do that depending on how well the stock one works on your phone.

Ya, exactly what he said. If you are low on phone memory there are apps that make sending stuff from the phone to the memory card. I'd rather have phone memory than memory card memory ... makes it fasternesser ...

Yep - I've gotten that a few times lately too. I've tried sending several apps to the SD card, but many times when I go into Application Management, the "Send to SD Card" option is greyed out.

I'm about ready to root this thing (orig Moto Droid) and see if I can make it perform more.

Ya, they always start out with "this is an easy procedure" then go on to tell you to stick a chicken bone in your ear, spin around backwards while reciting Latin prose and praying to some long forgotten god

+1, my orig was rooted and my X is rooted. What phone do you have? You can move apps to the SD card but I think the phone does need to be rooted for that.
