You would have to bridge the amps together but then the total ohm load will change and if you do not match the resistance right, you may have a very unpleasant outcome.

I know that kicker amps can be bridged together, but other brands might not be able to handle it as well.

It is always better to have a bigger amp that you can wire a few different ways to drop or increase power
and ohm load. I have a MTX 1500D and i have used for a few different setups from one 15" Directed to my
current setup of 2 10" Kicker L7's

this is wat i wanna see how i can hook them up better. i have 2 amps and 2 subs.
right now the wireing is set to one amp briged + DVC sub at 8 ohm. i have no clue how much power subs getting from amp at 8ohm. it dont say anywhere.

SONY 12"
  • Dual 4-ohm voice coils
  • 1500W Peak
  • 400W RMS

Sony amp
  • Dual channel amplifier
  • Bridgeable
  • Speaker impedance: 2 - 8 Ohms stereo, 4 - 8 Ohms mono
  • 165 Watt - 4 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.04% - 14.4V DC - 2 channel(s)
  • 200 Watt - 2 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.1% - 14.4V DC - 2 channel(s)
  • 400 Watt - 4 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.1% - 14.4V DC - 1 channel(s)

i was think this but the two amps at the end?

or amp at 2 ch. 2ohm 200 rms. one ch. to one coil in one sub other ch. other coil in sub. same with other amp. i thinking both amps at 2 ohm 200+200=400rms for each?

thanks for the help already. i would ask other places but i know there is a bunch of smart ppl here so ill ask here first

If you are using both subs are you going to wire them in a series circuit or a parrallel circuit. This matters alot cause you ohm load can vary a lot with DVC woofers.

If you have 1 DVC woofer with each voice coil being 4 ohms and you run a parrallel circuit then the final ohm load is 2 ohms.

If you have two DVC subs with voice coils being 4 ohms wired parrallel then your final ohm load is 1 ohm. only 10% of Amplifiers out there can handle anything below two ohms, and if you do run high wattage at low ohms i hope that your power wire from your battery is around the size of 1 or 0 guage.

According to the info you gave on your amp, and if your subs are DVC 4 ohm coils then i would wire each subs two coils together in a series circuit then wire the two subs together in a parrellel circuit.

What kind of woofers do you have do you know what ohm the voice coils are that is key piece of information!!!
