Holy cow!!

Were those Secret service agents asleep on the job or what!!????!

I don't really see the iniotial response time as offensive, as much as their TOTAL LACK OF A SENSE OF URGENCY on the follow on response.

You would at least think they would run to neutralize the beligerent (if not tackle him outright) but they nonchalantly stroll to him... what were they going to do? Politely ask him WTF was he diong, (or wether his shoes were on too tight and he had to get rid of them)?

You can bet there will be a debriefing about that one... and someagents better be scrubbing toilets for years to comeat the Secret Service training facility...

I was amazed how itwas just a leisurely stroll through to get their hands onhim And then he started whining like some little bitch who had been picked up by the back of the neck... give me a break. If you've got the ***** to stand up and try to pay an infidel the greatest insult in the region. You should be man enough not to whine about it when Gabriel's right-hand grabs a hold of you

yeh, secret service was a little slow on the uptake there, especially considering he had time to throw BOTH his shoes from the center isle, its not even like he had them both off, he threw one, reached down, and took the other off, then threw it.

good thing ole G.W. can duck pretty good.

Lol, i'm sorry i couldn't take this thread seriously...i mean i understand what you mean about sleeping on the job, reaction time was pretty crappy(except on bushes behalf), but the fact that it was a shoe, just made me laugh.

In that part of the world showing someone the bottom of your foot are hitting them with your shoe is worse than being spit on here it is one of the worst insults possible just imagine what kind of trouble these guys are in for not getting their hands on him before throw the second shoe... just imagine if it had been a frag grenade...
But I've said it once and I'll say it again. The funniest part is him whining like some little bitch. who had been picked up by the back of the neck... give me a break. If you've got the ***** to stand up and try to pay an infidel the greatest insult in the region. You should be man enough not to whine about it when Gabriel's right-hand grabs a hold of you and that some funny sht

Men, dont bite my head off for saying this, but im sure there was a reason for the Secret Service to be where they were, and not in the room. We have to expect that the President has the very best security available. Just think about it for a second. We are outsiders looking into this situation, which are usually the first ones to criticize. Honestly, even if they were standing right next to him, they still couldnt have stopped the shoes from being thrown. Im sure there was a thorough security check conductedon all parties prior to entering the room. Hell, it could have been a camera flying at his head. So what now? Remove all shoes before entering a room where Bush speaks? My point is, there is nothing that could have been done to prevent this, unless you knew what the guys intentions/issues were prior to the incident.
