Thumbs down Am I in the wrong?

I paid with paypal for an item that I wanted from another cbrforum member on 4/21 for which he said he shipped it out on 4/24 to me with tracking and insurance. When I asked him for the tracking number he could not provide one for me.He said he misplaced it,but that he did send it.So I waited and waited 2 weeks go by and nothing.Call the guy, doesn't answer.Pm'ed him doesn't respond.Emailed him and nothing. So I start to worry about losing my money ($170.00) and report it to paypal. He never responded to their emails either.I put in a claim to get my money back and finally got it on 5/20 a month after I paid him.
What would you guys do if you where in my shoes?Am I wrong for being all pissed off at this guy?

You're totally justified. Assuming he was doing an honest transaction, he should have made sure to get you the tracking number and responded to your attempts at contact. Sounds like he was just trying to rip you off.

letsride,
I can't believe that you paid money and then expected items in return.
That's just ridiculous, and you should be ashamed.

But yeah... sounds like you're justified in being a little upset. However, you got your money back.... which many times doesn't happen.

If everything you say is true, I wouldn't be too happy, either. However, sometimes there can be some circumstances that are out of the control of the seller. Not saying it's the case, but not saying it's not.

Yet.

Oh, true that. I missed the part about it being a transaction with another member of the forum.

Awkward.
