Alternative to Go Pro Camera mount
Check out this camera mount clamp...look quite usable don't you think? Clamp on wind screen, side fairings, rear pegs, gas lid, swing arm... Link below cost $12.95 but I've seen some seller from China selling for $8.... If it works, should be good alternative for whom is more $$$ conscious...
I've just order one, I'll test it and update post if clamp works or not? Pro or cons....??

FWIW - the clamp you are buying is just a crocodile clip with an attachment for a camera - with the vibration on a bike (never mind the odd pothole) I don't know if it will be strong enough or stay "put" when you mount it.
I've seen these fail before unfortunately. I'd suggest you mount a retaining strap on it in case it slips, or you may trash your camera if it hits the road.......(ask me how I know) - something similar cost me a new Oregon bike camera when it failed.......
This is the camera I use.
I've sold over 70 of them (the camera) here after all the guys in the bike clubs saw mine.....-
1 Make sure your battery is full - CHARGE IT THROUGH A COMPUTER NOT THE MAIN SUPPLY
2 Switch it off when the charge is complete, or it will just run down again
3 Don't believe the recording time - likely to get up to 45 minutes, no more.
4 Use a good micro card - 4Gb is best.
5 The camera mounts best with PRESTIK inside your helmet, next to your nose, believe it or not.
It does come with its own brackets, tho'.

Here's a video with music from my own camera.
For the price, very good value.

have to say though, the quality is crap lol. way overbright all the time.
the sun is very low this time of the year, but i dont expect it to be much
better in summer.
i tried it inside my helmet at first and recorded half an hour of tarmac
i have it now on my tank cap (3m Velcro tape). the vibrations are no
problem, but as i said, its way to bright all the time and i even have a
tinted windscreen
this is about as good as it can get if the sun is in the right spot and you dont get any reflections of cars or buildings lol...
edit: heres a sample clip. drove up to 1400m today where i encountered snow

Hey, i found out that clamp won't work too well, but by accident, I mount camera like this...works well...no vibrate! Solid & video angle from center of gas tank! Will load video on youtube later on...very cheap alternative mount method for less than $5....
The screw is M4 x 0.7 30mm...with a washer. Put some electrical tape underneath for protection...a
Weird looking mount method but work great!!!
