Yeah, that is my personal site. I like your graphics. Web develop all day... if you ain't got graphic talent your'e just a script kiddy. You know what I mean. You use photoshop for that? I pretty much do all my graphics with Macromedia Fireworks because I like the way it slices and tables the images for you.

I use fireworks for all my graphics and design work as well, but i hand-code everything but I layout most of my sites with CSS and try to stay away from using tables.

Hmmm, How can you stay away from tables? Especially slicing graphics? Why would you want to?

tables are becoming a thing of the past and are a bitch to maintain, i only use them when i absolutely have to. Coding with XHTML and using CSS for layout and presentation will decrease file size, decrease load time, increase search engine ranking, eliminates the need for spacer gifs, etc...I could go on forever. Welcome the Web Standard revolution.

Check out www.csszengarden.com its basically a gallery of different CSS designs applied to one XHTML file, view the source to see what i mean. PM me if you want to learn more and i can send you some links to read up on.

As far as slicing graphics, lets say i create my design in fireworks, i then just slice the images i need and export them as images, not as html which then creates your design using tables. I only export the images i need such as logos and the like. If i can accomplish something using CSS without having to resort to using an image, then thats what i'll do.
