My first suggestion would be to invest in a steering damper. I was running about 120mph with a BMW and hit a decent sized lump in the asphalt that I forgot was there (this was on a road I drive on to and from school and work every day) and the bike just grazed right over it...I'm convinced it's because I keep the stabilizer set pretty stiff, for maximum stability at higher speeds.

The GSX-R600 I rode in Hawaii was noticeably less stable at speed, I think because it didn't have a stabilizer.

But anyway, that would be my suggestion.

Yes irocthestreet, I have been here for around that period of time. And thank you for pointing it out.
I said that this forum, as a general consensus, will agree that stupid stunt racing story telling is not tolerated.
Most will easily ignore stuff like that or flame you for those kind of posts.
the post got moved here and thats perfect, I never post here anyway.
I've already let it be known that the starter of this thread seemed to be a smart enough rider to realize that he did was stupid.
He is getting alot of good feed-back to his steering and suspension problem.

Any responsible rider will agree that if you must speed, stunt, or race, to do it at your local strip or track off of public roads.
Is it that hard for you to understand that "irocthestreet"?
well i hope not.
cheers.

p.s.
judging by your "contributing help" (see below)in the last two months ( ONE WHOLE month more than me) to this forum...I would not talk.

How can you judge someone and tell them that street racing is irresponsible, when your signature is legalize marijuana ? Obviously one can assume that you smoke weed and you have to buy it from somewhere. And whomever that is doesn't just sell to you only. So in a round about way, You support a person who sells illegal drugs to people and probably kids. Those kids that do drugs have a higher chance of getting into trouble or death.
cheers

Ive only been here for a couple of weeks and can safely say that both of you need to stop being keyboard warriors and just hug and make up.

You guys are arguing like your gonna settle something. Grow up.

We should all vote...

1. U guys hug and make up
2. U take each other on a date and hold hands all night
3. U both just stop arguing and give up.

hey everyone, ive been away all weekend and didnt get a chance to check on my thread. I appreciate all the feedback everyone has left. I do want to look into a steering stabilizer for sure. i check my tire pressure and do a quick look over on the bike before every ride, so im hoping its nothing wrong with the bike besides the suspension settings.

i didnt mean to strike such a bad note between people by starting this thread. i dont really post much on here, i mostly use forums for information purposes. but i guess this makes a good learning experience as to what to say and not say when posting

thanks again to all who helped!!

This is a stupid comment, how about the time I went WOT to save my life a few days ago? Do you look down upon that as well?

look man, I agree with the moderator and with due respect I too believe this is a pointless argument.
I do smoke prescribed cannabis to help my low apatite due to chemotherapy, also it helps with the huge pain in my lower back where I recieved a bone-merow transplant. Anywho, the cannabis is a filled prescription done monthly ( not from drug dealers or kids ) and I smoke responsibly in my home before I eat and sleep. ( oh, and excuse me for misreading your 1 year looooong membership here...)

About the WOT comment, you obviously must do whatever it takes to avoid an accident, but the argument was not about avoiding an accident but about illegal street racing which the starter of this thread had clearly said he was doing. re-read.

anywho, your completely right 18rocket, i tried.
back to the f4i forum for me. adios partner!
ride safe.

p.s. yo rjporter, I'm glad you got alot of usefull info regarding your motorbike prob bro, thnx for understanding. be safe bro.

yeah man...thats the whole reason why im a member here, to get good advice and tech help. seems like alot of these 'tuner' type forums have a lot of arguing and fighting though. i usually stick to my fullsizechevy forum. guys are real layed back over there, and you dont have to mess around with this elementary BS. but yo...legal smoking, im jealous man. not for the reason why you need it(that must suck dude) but just the fact that you can . take care man.
