I've always needed a "Reason" to anything. It's hard for me to take some random joe (even if they're a tuner, since I think they should have more info anyways) and accept what they have to say about something being better than another, without any evidence to back it up. Hmm... it's at least worth thinking about.

Sweet... then I'll hold out a little longer for the other guys input. (that... and the fact that I'm too lazy to want to pull it all apart again. )

Let me know what he says when you hear back from him!

NEED to know? Nah... it won't really matter till I am about to go get the custom map/tune done for this exhaust. And even then I might have to do it twice for the 2 different baffles! Ugh.[:'(]

yeah i am pseudo upset too...because once i get my PCIII in and installed, i have NO idea what type of map to use as i got one of those custom exhausts from Bootleg last year...i LOVE the exhaust, i just don't know what kind of map to run....plus....the filter will run me another $70 and the dyno and tune is going to cost $200....sooooooo....needless to say, that's a decent hunk of cash....so i might be waiting for the dyno for a few weeks which means i have NO idea what to run on the PCIII....ugh....

also, i am thinking i should maybe put in new sparks before the tune...dunno tho'....i don't think it would make a difference performance-wise...???

Can't go wrong with K&N. I gave a K&N in everything I own.

Im still runnin stock filter on my 1k
I had K&N and PC3 on my 03 and it got 104.6 on the dyno...which was pretty good i guess...
I dont get much into the numbers game anymore..someone will always have something tuned or twisted or turbo'd or even sprayed..i do know that a pc 3 will help things along..

I've played with different download maps... currently running on the Dynojet Stock "fix" map. I was running the Jardine Dual outlet one, and it ran good and smooth above 6K rpms... but I would get some engine noise (like when your manual-drive car is in too high a gear while struggling from a stop or up a hill) around 3-5K. So I changed that out. I may try the two-brothers next... just to see. Nothing I can really tell, other than "Seat of the pants Dyno" action... which isn't very good really.
