Advice on Great roads in NC?
I am taking another trip to Deals Gap North Carolina, this year with some friends, and we are going to stay a little longer this time. I was wondering if anyone knows of some great roads to ride and where they are?
We are going to stay at two wheel inn about 20 minutes from the Gap, but then going to leave down to the Smokey Mtns, and we dont quite know of any roads there. Any input would be great, thanks!
I know of Cherahola Skyway and Blue Ridge Pkwy, and the Dragon, any other less know roads we could check out?

28 is great, as is (sp)wahayan rd. also check out northern Ga. near suches. wolf pen gap rt 180 in suches is sweet. rt 60 in dalton and suches is very nice. blood mnt, richardrussel secnic highway. check out this area it has some great roads and is down 19/129 out of robbinsville about 90 miles south of the gap. makes for a great day ride. we stayed at high valley resorts right on rt 180in suches. very great place. frank the old timer who owns it knows every great road around. or stay in north Ga and ride up to the gap, thats what we did.

Suches is fun. Especially Wolf Pen Gap.
If you don't mind heading farther south US64 between Franklin, NC and Highlands, NC is nice. Especially when you get to the waterfall you can drive under. Here is a pic of that...
Also if this helps here are some pics from a Solo trip I took about a month ago. It was awesome(Except the rain that I had to drive through from Deal's Gap literally to my home east of Atlanta)

I'm going on a 4day trip in early April with some friends. We are staying in Pigeon Forge a couple nights. Anyways I heard of "Something" Cove is pretty nice to check out. I think it's off 441(Which I heard was fun too). Cherohala is amazing but be prepared to stop every 10ft to take another cool picture. Also a Foothills Parkway before you get to the Gap on 129. And 129 up to Fugitie Dam is pretty interesting since you follow a river all the way there.
Just a warning. If you plan on drinking Robbinsville is a dry town/county. No beer/liquor/wine at all

Just about any road off the superslab will be good! I live off of US110, a scenic byway that runs up to join the Parkway. My buddy with the DRZ400 Super Retard calls it "God's own racetrack!" Or he did until he overcooked it. The guy owns a Corvette, a CBR1000RR Repsol, an R6, RC51, GSXR1000 among others and he rides the Super Retard! Go figure.
