Default 600cc or 1000cc???

I want to step up and get a newer bike next year. I'm starting my research now. I haven't ridden any of the newer bikes so I'm not sure how they feel. That's why I'm asking you guys for your opinions. A couple questions.....
Are the 1000cc bikes more comfortable than the 600's? I'm 6'2" and get pretty cramped on my F3. I wasn't sure if the ergos are different on the liter bikes. Do the liter bikes feel that much bigger while riding aggresively? I like to flick into corners without having to think about it. What gear will a newer 600 POWER wheelie from? 1st and 2nd gear only? What about 1000's? 3rd gear? My F3 will only come up in 1st on very rare occasions. I'm assuming the liter bikes are nicer for commuting with the instant power and all. Right now, I commute 60 miles a day andI keep my F3 in 4th gear so I can have some power to get outta the way if necessary. Lastly, inline 4 or V-Twin? I've never rode a twin before. I'm thinking that torque would be great for around town. What do you guys think? Thanks for the input ahead of time!!!

I think you would be suprised at the power output of a newer 600RR. I am not sure what gears they will wheelie in, but I think that would be last on my list. I have been pondering getting a cruiser so I could have thevariety as well. I think you may also like the Ninja 650R and the SV650 because they have awesome low end power around townand they can still get up and move. Just throwing some ideas out there. The 650Rwas like $205 a year to insure with full coverage for me.

^ I dont want to start a arguement, but i would love a vid of you lifting a 600 in 6th gear please. pm is fine.

Back on topic, i would ride them both and see what you like. Personally im not dropping 10k for a bike i havent ridden.

p.s. go with the 1000

Get the 1000.If you get the six you might wish you had more power. With the 1000 you probably wontwish you had less power. They are the same as the 600 as far as comfort imo. But i'm only 5'10'.

Put your **** on as many bike seats as you can before you decide. There are so many different types of bikes out there. Maybe you would prefer something like the VFR or even the ST or what ever. Looking for a new bike is a happy place to be in, enjoy the moment, but take your time. A list with 'Good' - 'Bad' points is always handy, plus it drives the sales guys nuts.

I've ridden both and always come back to the 600...

There's only a handful of guys who can ride these bikes to their limit.....lets be honest, if you can do that you should be racing in the AMA or MotoGPfull time.

The 600 (especially a heavilymodified 600RR)has more power and more cornering and more top speed and more bike than most of us can ride...if you say that you can ring it out to its maximum...please read thesentence above again.

The 600 will make you a better a rider in my opinion...you will ride it harder and squeeze more performance out of it based on your ability..not backed off and trying to keep it under control like the liter bikes. You will be better at all things motorcycle on a modern 600RR...its just as fast as the liter bikes of a few years back and to me a lot more fun. We can all pin it and go 180...its all the other stuff where it counts in the end

Again, if you want to argue it..no problem..... but please read sentence number two and then retort

Both are great....but lets be honest on performance and rider ability and either bike is scary fast

Good luck with whatever you choose mang and post up some pics when you get it !!!
