I would be willing to bet my house is that cold if not colder. Our thermostat got ripped off the wall so we have no heat.

My house is around 56 sometimes when i wake up in the morning. Im just trying to save on gas. My bedroom is up stairs so it stays a little warmer up there. My poor friends are probably freezing though.

No. I just didn't turn it on. It's only 2 degrees lower from where I keep my house under normal circumstances.

Damn, theres no way I could stand that. Our appt varies from 70 up to 90s. Others cant stand it but I hate the cold. Heat is included and its hot water heat controled by a thermostat downstairs in the neighbors. All the heat rises and worst case we just open the door.

if you're like me where when you run the heat at say...70 degrees your electric bill skyrockets then get some of those oil heaters, the ones that plug in and look like a wall radiator. they're like 40 bucks but I have 2 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom.

With heat my bill is like 240 and with those it hovers around 95...60 with no air/heat going.

I keep my thermostat on 62 when I am not home and 68 when I am.

I have a gas burner also, so when everyone was complaining about oil last winter, I only cared at the gas pump.
