Went out for a ride tonight and was following behind my buddy on his zx-14. We were just about to the twisties when I see a flock of barn swallows coming across the road, and then smack. My buddy hit 3 of them at once, one hit me on my chest and went flying off. It was like someone let loose a down filled pillow. What is really scarry is that in the next four miles he proceeded to hit two more barn swallows.

Anyone else ever hit that more birds than that in an hours ride?

 

I got 2 right as we were taking off a stop sign. Both flew right into my front rim one fell out in 15 sec the other one was there until we came to a stop and then plop there it is. I had pictures of when it fell out the first one almost took out my buddy behind me.

 

I hit one at 140km/h, it was goning for my chest then it pulled a crazy evasive manuver and went right between my forks. Mess wasn't too bad feather and some clear goo on my side fairing, kinda wish it did hit me though, cleaning bird off your bike can be a pain.

 

ha i had this happen to me was heading to tucson bout 90mph out in the boonies and a damn dove hit me right in the chest felt like a good punch, took it like a man tho haha

 

i have never hit a bird. I think I would be freaked out, especially if it hit my neck.

 

That sucks.

I took a bird to the visor couple months back, felt like a baseball hit my helmet.

 

Another reason to wear a helmet.

 

I deflected one off the top of my helmet this past weekend. Saw it coming for my visor, bowed my head and heard the smack.
